Fostering Inner and Outer Peace Initiative

Our Members Make a Better World

The day was filled with joy and serenity as The Peace Club Team visited Waikouaiti School to organise a meditation session and fun activities with the enthusiastic and energetic students. Meditation has become an increasingly relevant form of treatment for stress, anxiety, depression, and other medical conditions, with studies showing that it can even alter the brain’s structure and boost the immune system. As a result, we offer free meditation sessions to schools interested in promoting mental health among their students.

Meditation has been proven to have a significant impact on mental health, particularly in reducing stress and anxiety. With the increasing pressure and demands placed on students, learning to cope with stress and anxiety at a young age is critical for their overall well-being. By providing meditation sessions to schools, we hope to help students develop a sense of calm and mental clarity that they can carry with them throughout their lives.

A Day of Joy and Serenity

Our visit to Waikouaiti School was a wonderful opportunity to connect with students and promote the benefits of meditation and teamwork. The Peace Club Team engaged students in fun and interactive games to promote positive thinking and teamwork. By emphasising the importance of working together and supporting one another, we hope to instil a sense of compassion and empathy in the next generation of leaders.

“We believe that promoting mental health and well-being is essential for creating a more peaceful and harmonious world.” – Best Apisit U., The Peace Club President.

Through our efforts to offer free meditation sessions and fun activities to schools, we hope to inspire a new generation of individuals who prioritise mental health and well-being as they navigate life’s challenges.

Why Meditation Matters

Meditation has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, improve concentration, and enhance emotional health. For students facing the pressures of academic life, learning to manage stress through meditation can lead to better mental health outcomes and improved academic performance. By introducing these practices early, we aim to equip young people with the tools they need to handle stress and maintain mental clarity.

Interactive Games and Teamwork

In addition to meditation, The Peace Club Team engages students in interactive games that promote positive thinking and teamwork. These activities are designed to encourage students to support one another, work collaboratively, and build strong, compassionate relationships. By fostering these values, we help create a supportive and empathetic community within schools.

Our visit to Waikouaiti School is just one of many initiatives we are undertaking to promote mental health and well-being in schools across New Zealand. We look forward to continuing our work with schools, offering free meditation sessions and engaging activities that inspire students to prioritise their mental health and support each other.

Join us in our mission to promote mental health and well-being. Let’s inspire a new generation to lead with compassion and clarity.

We sincerely acknowledge The Peace and Disarmament Education Trust (PADET) for their invaluable support of this project.
